/ 5 Top Travel Websites That Give You The Best Deals
One of the questions that I get asked the most is what the top travel websites are. People don’t want to miss out on the best travel deals, but there are so many travel websites out there that it’s easy to become overwhelmed. Here are my 5 Top Travel Websites:
1. ITA Matrix Airfare Search
To find the best prices for flights, I use ITA Matrix Airfare Search. The thing I like the best about the site is that it allows you to search certain length trips one month at a time for the lowest fares. If you are flexible with the dates that you can travel, this is an excellent way to save money on your flights. The Matrix doesn’t allow you to book your flights through their site, as it’s just for finding airfares, but it’s a great way to find the flights you need.
Skyscanner is another great site for finding cheap airfare. My favorite thing about this website is the “to everywhere” search. This allows you to search from your current location to everywhere. It will pull up a list of flights to everywhere in the world starting from the least expensive to the most expensive.
Agoda has great deals on hotels rooms practically anywhere in the world, especially in Asia. I like being able to read people’s reviews of the hotels. Whenever you book with Agoda, you also accumulate points which you can use later for free rooms.
I also like Top10.com for finding discounted hotel rooms. They compare prices from all the major booking sites, so it saves me time from having to look at all the sites myself.
5. Booking.com
While Agoda usually gives the best rates in Asia, Booking.com. gives the best rates in Europe and the United States. I find their site easy to use, and I love the fact that most of the time, you don’t have to give a credit card to make your reservation.
I hope this list of top travel websites helps you get the best deal on your dream trip. Do you have a favorite travel website? Let me know in the comments below!
Interesting article, Val. And some resources we hadn’t heard of before. We’ve always been big fans of Booking.com
I love skyscanner! Especially because of it’s everywhere option. Kayak also has a similar feature called explore. It’s always fun seeing where you can go from where you are for the cheapest price possible, or learn about a direct flight you may have never known existed.
Great list. From time to time I also get to visit some of these sites.
what a great list – thank you!
I love Skyscanner!! Use the site all the time to daydream up adventures:)
I love SkyScanner! Also, since I live in a car-centric city (LosAngeles) I got addicted to using Waze lately.
Great inside travel tips. Thanks for sharing your 5 favorite sites. I’ll be sure to check them out!
I need to check out Paradisehunter.com — never heard of it!
Ooh, some new-to-me sites to check out! I did use Agoda for the first time when booking our hotel in Myanmar and I liked their website.
I’m new to most of these sites. Thanks for sharing. I’ll check on them, maybe I’ll find something that will interest me. Thanks!
