/ Discover Beauty Au Naturel At This Bend Bed And Breakfast Paradise Resort
Alpenglow Ranch is set on 51 acres and, with just 2 rooms, it gives you a sense of seclusion and privacy that I’ve rarely experienced in my travels. Dramatic mountain views (you can see 10 of the peaks on clear days!), stunning sunsets, lenticular clouds, an infinity pool with a water slide, 2 hot tubs, 9 hole disc golf, a pickleball court, hospitable, friendly hosts, and incredible homemade breakfasts are just some of the delights you will experience here.
The opportunity to enjoy all of this in the nude made it that much more fun. If you haven’t experienced nature au naturel, I strongly urge you to give it a try! And, of course, you have the option to wear clothing here if that’s what you prefer, but this special nude resort is created with the intention to let you experience your true natural state.
The resort is very comfortable, and the hosts make you feel like family from the moment of your arrival.
Our room was full of light and had stunning mountain views that we didn’t even have to get out of bed to see. Of course, with all the activities at this Bend bed and breakfast, we didn’t spend much time in our room.
The spacious bathroom had a shower that was big enough for two and had its own private entrance that led to the pool area.
There was a cozy common room with a refrigerator for our private use, coffee, tea, and snacks. The common room led to a deck with a hot tub that can be used 24 hours a day, and that had stunning views of the sunset and mountains.
The tranquility and relaxation that I experienced at this Bend bed and breakfast went beyond what I even expected. Spending the days soaking in the sun by the pool with its lush environment, surrounded by trees, plants and herbs let me unwind in a way that I haven’t in a long time. I truly felt like I didn’t have a care left in the world.
The 70-foot water slide is great fun, and will bring you back in touch with your inner child. It was my first experience of watersliding naked!
The garden setting of the hot tub by the pool is quite lovely, and provides another great option for a warm soak.
There is a grilling area for your use, too. It was great to cook our own dinner while there.
There’s also a fire pit that you can sit at during the night and watch the starry sky. Bring stuff to make s’mores with!
Definitely make sure to check out the pickleball and disc golf course while you are there. They make for fun morning activities before the sun gets too hot.
The hostess is an excellent gardener, and you will find some of the ingredients that show up in the lovely breakfasts come straight from the garden.
Alpenglow Ranch also raises about 150 chickens, so you will have delicious eggs from the ranch for your breakfast.
Speaking of breakfast, the host is an incredible cook, and you will enjoy some of the best breakfast dishes that you’ve ever had. The first morning was an incredible breakfast pizza, homemade sourdough bread, and homemade jams. The view of the mountains from the breakfast table made you feel like you were still dreaming. And, there’s something so wonderful about not having to get dressed for breakfast!
The second day, we woke up to a gorgeous Dutch baby with berries from the garden. So beautiful and delicious!
The other great thing about Alpenglow Resort were the host’s lovely Golden Retriever dogs. Alpenglow is dog friendly, so you can bring your dog’s with you on your retreat!
There really aren’t enough word’s to tell you how lovely Alpenglow Resort is. It’s a place that is a rare find and it has a special energy all its own. I usually find myself a bit homesick when I’m away from home, but with Alpenglow, I felt a bit sad once I returned home. To be that deep in nature, in my full expression, in a place of solitude and warmth, that’s what true living is all about. Alpenglow is more than a retreat. It’s a place that will make you feel right at home.
