I ended my three months of traveling throughout Indonesia and Sri Lanka at the Sanctuary Resort in Thailand. There were things I absolutely loved about it and some things that weren’t so great. I wasn’t expecting it to be, but for those who don’t know this, it’s definitely not a resort. I tend to shy away from “resorts”, so this was fine by me. If you are looking for a cheap hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Clock Inn is a good place to stay. It is in a great location on Galle Road close to good restaurants such as the Barefoot Garden Cafe and The Gallery Cafe. The room is stylish, though small, in the European fashion. It is fairly clean. I did find several hairs on the floor, so it’s not immaculately clean, but clean enough. There are both private rooms and dorm rooms. If you have never been to Raja Ampat, getting there is half the battle. First you must fly to Sorong, and then take the public ferry over to Waisai .
