/ Feeling At Home At Riad Boussa in Marrakesh, Morocco
From the moment I entered Riad Boussa, I had a feeling like I had come home. I was greeted with warmth by Brigitte and her staff. I was invited to immediately sit down and enjoy a cup of mint tea and delicious sugar cookies. The beautiful deep reds and oranges of the beautiful living room enveloped me in a hug, and I felt comforted and relaxed. As if on cue, a cat appeared in my lap and started purring. Was I dreaming?
No, I was at Riad Boussa in Marakkesh, and it was great to stay in such a comforting place while there. The room was cozy and comfortable. (The rooms are on the smaller side, but I only needed my room for sleeping because the Riad common spaces were so beautiful, I just wanted to hang out there.) The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, and no detail was overlooked. I loved the cookies that were placed on my pillow each evening, and the hundreds of candles that flickered throughout the evening each night.
The outdoor terrace is also very nice, and I enjoyed eating breakfast there each morning. There is a mix of sun and shade which made it great for not getting too hot.
Do not miss eating dinner at Riad Boussa, as the food is delicious. Brigitte also has great taste in wine! It was great not having to go out in the evenings among all the chaos, and the presentation of the meals was beautiful, too.
The service of the staff was excellent, and I never wanted for anything. They always made sure that I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. Riad Boussa also has a great location, and is only a five-minute walk to the square.
If you are looking for a place to come home to in Marrakech, then Riad Boussa is your place.
