A Luxury Stay At 16 Learmonth Terrace-Edinburgh, Scotland (Now Closed)
From the moment I arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland, I was immediately enchanted with everything about it. 16 Learmonth Terrace, the Bed and Breakfast I stayed at had a lot to do with that enchantment.
I received a warm welcome from Joon, the owner. She set me down in the cozy kitchen, prepared me a cup of coffee and immediately began winning me over with some of the Scottish specialty sweets. I felt like I had gone home to visit my mum with the way Joon took care of me. She turned on the electric blanket each night before I got in and put chocolates on my pillows. She gave me wonderful advice each morning about what to see and do. And, she cooked the best breakfast I had in all of Europe. Her husband, Peter, was also very friendly, and I let 16 Learmonth Terrace feeling like I had made two new friends.
For breakfast, Joon made sure that I got to try all the Scottish specialties. Every morning felt like Thanksgiving, there was such an array of food. I loved the black pudding, the Scottish porridge, and tiny pancakes. There were also fruit each morning, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, and pretty much anything else I would have wanted. Oh yes, and Joon even made the jam for the toast. What I really enjoyed was the presentation of the breakfast, too. I had breakfast by candlelight and there were also fresh flowers every morning.
My room was big and absolutely sound proof. I had my own refrigerator, a kettle for tea and coffee, and sweets in little jars and containers if I needed a snack.
The bathroom wasn’t en suite, but I had it completely to myself. I so enjoyed taking a bath in the jetted bathtub, and found it one of the best ways to relax after walking around town all day. There was also a towel warmer, so I had heated towels when I was done with my bath.
16 Learmonth Terrace was located in the quaint village of Dean, just over the Dean bridge. Its filled with beautiful Victorian houses, and is a fun neighborhood to walk around in. It’s very close to the Royal Mile and all the main sites of Edinburgh.
I can tell you now, I didn’t want to leave, and my breakfast ever since being gone has been such a disappointment. Do yourself a favor and stay in the coziest place in Edinburgh, 16 Learmonth Terrace. You will be glad you did.

Sounds great, but when I click on the link to go to their website it says “this website no longer exists”. I wonder if they’re still in business?
Oh, I need to do an update!! My messages to follow your dreams convinced the owner that she wanted to live in France, so she sold the BnB, and is now living there, lol!
