The Best Caribbean Cruise Itinerary Destinations
When it comes to Caribbean cruises, there are plenty of itineraries to choose from and deciding can be confusing. Here are the destinations that are my favorites that can help you decide on your next Caribbean cruise vacation.
1. St Kitts
Choose an Eastern Caribbean itinerary, if you want to go to St Kitts. St Kitts is one of the oldest settlements in the Caribbean and is anchored by beautiful volcanoes, jungle wilderness that’s perfect for hiking, and is known for its troops of green vervet monkeys.
2. Les Saintes
Les Saintes is a beautiful quaint island with nice beaches and friendly people. Many people consider this to be a hidden oasis in the Caribbean, as it’s very peaceful and a great spot for those looking for some tranquility. You can easily walk the entire island to explore some of the fantastic restaurants, and it’s a great spot for exploring the underwater world of the Caribbean waters.
3. The Yucatan
If you want to explore the treasures of the Mayan civilization, look for a Caribbean cruise itinerary that goes to the Yucatan. The Mayan site of Palenque is a must with its temples and palaces. The Agua Azul waterfalls pictured above are located roughly 40 miles away from Palenque. Progreso is known for its beaches, and the Chaak Tun cenote is a world unto its own.
4. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
These less-traveled islands are known for their white sand and turquoise waters and lagoons. Snorkelers and divers love these islands for their underwater paradises. Make sure to visit the Falls of Baleine, spectacular cascades that are accessible only by boat, on St. Vincent. The stunning Tobago Cays National Marine Park is also located within this area.
5. Saint Lucia
When people think of St Lucia, they think of romance, beauty, and adventure. With its rainforests, palm-fringed beaches, and waterfalls, it’s easy to see why St Lucia is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nourish your skin with the medicinal mud of Sulfur Springs for a DIY spa treatment. Then, continue your eruptive adventures with a guided hike of the two volcanic plugs known as the Pitons.
6. Belize
If you want to visit Belize, you will want to pick a Western Caribbean cruise itinerary. Belize is known for its clear water, beautiful beaches, and stunning Barrier Reef. It’s the second largest Barrier Reef in the world, so it’s a must for scuba divers and fishermen. And, of course, the Great Blue Hole is known as one of the best diving spots in the world. Ancient Mayan sites, manatees, rain forests, and cascading waterfalls are just some of the reasons to pick this spot as one of your Caribbean island destinations. If you’re a nature lover, this is your place.

7. Barbados
With its English history, excellent surfing, and glorious beaches, adventure and romance are what’s in store in Barbados. There are beaches with calm waters and excellent swimming and, also, beaches with huge waves for surfers. Barbados is also known for its excellent Caribbean flavors at its restaurants. Whether its art, culture, or cuisine you are looking for, Barbados has it all.
8. Panama and the San Blas Archipelago
When you see the San Blas islands of Panama, you’ll be shaking your head wondering if what you are seeing is real. Breathtaking views that really makes you feel like you are away from the world and in a true tropical paradise will surround you and make you feel like you never want to leave. With clear blue water, white sand, gorgeous palm trees, what more could you want?
9. Columbia
Cartagena, a gorgeous fishing village on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, has excellent beaches, a historic old town and beautiful colonial architecture.
Cartagena, a quaint fishing village on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, has excellent beaches, a historical walkable old town and beautiful colonial architecture. The people watching is the best, and the adorable outdoor cafes give the perfect place to sit and rest over a good meal. In Cartagena, Columbia safety is important, so make sure to be alert while visiting.
10. Curaçao
Curaçao is a haven for divers and snorkelers. The beaches have calm waters perfect for swimming and some of the clearest blue water that you have ever seen. The capital city has charming pastel buildings and an equally colorful history perfect for exploring.
