Vereda: A Jungle Oasis Place To Stay In Yelapa, Mexico
When I entered the jungle grounds of Vereda, in Yelapa, Mexico, I felt my entire body relax. After the busy madness of Puerto Vallarta, arriving at Vereda seemed like something out of a dream. Set in the jungle part of Yelapa, I walked down the magical vined walkway to a Paradise full of butterflies, iguanas, and beautiful jungle birds.
For my first few nights, I stayed in the Palapa Primavera, a gorgeous palapa cabin that brought so much nature inside the cabin. I loved having my own private outdoor area, and the way that jungle vines provided the ceiling for my bathroom. My nights were filled with sounds of crickets, jungle birds, and roosters, which I absolutely loved.
My days were spent lying by the pool, which is one of the most stunning pools I’ve ever seen on my travels. Iguanas laid across from me on the rocks. Jeff’s mother’s incredible sculptures decorated the area. And, the time I spent here left me feeling more rested and relaxed than I have in a long time.
The grounds at Vereda are just stunning. Flowers and plants of all types grew in abundance, and there was more nature at Vereda than I saw in the rest of Yelapa. There were so many butterflies, some of them as big as coffee saucers. I often found myself just staring at the plants, doing nothing, it was so beautiful.
The kitchen also took my breath away. The kitchen is available for your use when you stay at Vereda, and it was nice to be able to make breakfasts and enjoy them in the jungle setting during my stay. Tatiana, one of the owners is an incredible chef, so the kitchen comes equipped with anything you might need, including very sharp knives for your cooking. Jeff made great coffee every morning, and both Tatiana and Jeff were amazing hosts. They take pride in this special oasis, and it really shows.
For my last part of the stay, I stayed in the Abiu, an open air apartment style building. It overlooked the pool and had views of the mountains in the distance. I loved the way the wine bottles that were encased in the walls reflected light during the day. The artistic touches were really beautiful. This room felt a little less private, as I could hear the guests above me, but I loved the beautiful views from the balcony, which I didn’t get in the Palapa Primavera. The bathroom was also very special, and I loved the clean white feel of this room. There was stunning art and sculptures everywhere. It really was a special, beautiful room.
Hi! Would you choose primavera or Abiu, I am going solo in June!
All the rooms are nice. As you can see from my article photos, one is a bit more rustic, but I enjoyed them both. It depends on what you like!
