2. Four Seasons Resort Maui At Wailea
The Four Seasons Resort Maui is one of those luxury beach resorts that is a sanctuary from the rest of the world. If you are looking for one of the adults only luxury beach resorts, this is an excellent choice. There are three beautiful pools and a piano bar that plays live jazz. It is in the fishing village of Playa Blanca, and has stylish Spanish-Arabian touches in its decor. The sunset views are incredible. And, it’s only a 15 minute walk along the seafront walk to the old town.
6. The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, California
Overlooking Salt Creek Beach and set high on a dramatic ocean bluff, there’s nothing like the Ritz. There are miles of sandy beach. Watch the surfers from your balcony or go down and catch a few waves yourself. The spa is excellent, as is the brunch on Sundays.
7. Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai
The Burj Al Arab Hotel may just be one of the most fantastic luxury beach resorts. It’s often voted the most luxurious hotel in the world. This is 7-star luxury at its finest. Would love to visit each of these!
Oh my goodness I’d love to go to each one of these. I usually try to travel to a warm region during or after the holidays, hoping to make it happen this year as well!
Thanks for this list! The Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai has been on my radar for a while now – would LOVE to spend a night in the worlds only 7 star hotel!!
I’m not into luxury at all. In fact, during my long traveling career, the more I stayed in luxury places, the more I appreciated simplicity. I do understand, however, people who are in need of luxury to feel relaxed. If this was up to me, I would pick up a hotel with best views. It is truly relaxing to just watch the beauty of nature, Pssst! I normally watch Mother Nature from a tent or a mountain hut.
Great picks for such a luxuriant list. I think I’d like to go to the Sensatori Resort in Tenerife. The Canary Islands have always attracted me – something about the combination of Spanish culture/food plus island living. I’ve been to the Four Seasons in Wailea for a luau. GORGEOUS and well deserved to be on this list. 🙂
I can’t believe how many of these luxury hotels I’ve never heard of. You provided a really good mix of resorts from around the globe. I think it’s interesting how we typically associate luxury with warm weather. Not too many winter destinations make these types of lists.
Ha, that’s true. I don’t tend to explore cold weather places!!
Two years ago to the day we were at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica very much enjoying the beach and the whole luxurious experience.
