/ Kona Condos: This Big Island Rental Will Make You Not Want To Go Home
If you’re planning on a vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii, there are a lot of Kona condos to choose from. I highly recommend staying at this rental at the Kona Isles Condos.
The oceanfront location right on Alii Drive is perfect. The corner unit on the ground floor is so relaxing and peaceful. I found myself not wanting to leave the condo because the beach in front has such soothing waves. I loved falling asleep to them each night and waking up to them each morning.
I even got lucky and saw dolphins go by one morning which was an incredible experience. This Kona condos location is within walking distance to many of the Kona restaurants and shopping which is very convenient. It’s easy to get to some of the best beaches and attractions on the Big Island from here. It’s also only about a fifteen-minute drive from the airport.
This Kona condo unit has one Queen bed and one sofa bed and sleeps four people. Sheets, blankets, and towels are provides, so you don’t have to worry about bringing those from home.
The living/dining room was very comfortable and had a view of the ocean. The highlight was a beautiful mural that the owners have had painted on the wall by a very talented artist.
The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook anything you want. I highly appreciated being able to save money by cooking some of my own meals. There is also a washer/dryer, so you can do your laundry.
The bathroom is also roomy and can easily be shared by four people.
I really loved the Hawaiian touches all over the condo. Many Kona condos have no personality, but the tropical vibe of the islands shows up in this condo, constantly reminding you that you are in Hawaii.
The best part of staying at the condo is the gorgeous lanai with its oceanfront view. The furniture is comfortable and when I was at the condo, 99% of the time, this is where I would be.
The grounds of this condo are immaculately maintained, and there is a sand man-made beach at the edge of the water with deck chairs where people like to gather every night to watch the sunset. There is also a BBQ area and picnic tables right next to the ocean.
The waves are too rough to swim in the ocean right in front of the condo, but there is a swimming pool that was never crowded. You also get your own free numbered parking spot here, so it was nice to never have to search for parking.
The best part about renting this condo is the affordability of it. Normally, it rents for $155 a night, but until the end of 2016, it’s only $99/night. If you are looking for Kona condos to rent, you won’t find a better value than that, especially for a condo that’s right on the ocean. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kona that feels like a home away from home (except with better views), you really can’t do better than this Kona condo at Kona Isles.
