8 Reasons You Must Visit Colorful Balat In Istanbul
Balat, in the old city on the European side, was absolutely my favorite area of Istanbul. Once the city’s Jewish quarter, this is where you’ll roam its winding streets and find the artists, the color, the life of Istanbul. Cozy tea shops nestle between colorful doorways as cats curl around your legs begging for attention. Antique stores beckon you in, and it’s a place you lose all sense of time because there is so much vibrant activity stimulating all of your senses. This is the kind of place I long for when I travel. A place I can wander with no destination in mind. I’m truly present in the moment…

Discovering Crater Lake: Your Ultimate Guide
Crater Lake is a place of profound beauty, majestic views, and incredible nature. It’s the deepest lake in the US, and probably the bluest, too. While Rim Village, can be crowded, I had many of the other viewpoints practically to myself. Don’t just go to Rim Village and think you’ve seen Crater Lake. The colors look different from different vantage points, and you will see so much more by driving around the entire lake. Even the drive to Crater Lake is stunning with beautiful landscapes, fumeroles, and a few waterfalls along the way. Make sure to stop at a few of the scenic overlooks along the way. Vidae Falls are…

Sacred Sites And Spiritual Experiences At Mt. Shasta
The sacred sites and spiritual experiences at Mt. Shasta are well known, so I thought I’d take a trip and visit them myself. The Native Americans of the area have always felt that this area of the Cascade Mountains was the center of the Universe. Many have had experiences with ancient Lemurians, angels, faeries, and aliens. While I didn’t have any experiences of that magnitude, I did enjoy the sacred sites that I visited. Mt. Shasta has many energy vortexes and portals, and probably the most well-known spot for experiencing them is Panther Meadows, an ancient outdoor temple site. It’s known as a doorway between dimensions, and is a special vortex spot.…

The Best Things To Do In Milos, Greece
Milos, one of the Cyclades islands, has become quite the destination in Greece. It was quite a shock for me coming from the tranquil islands of Sifnos and then Koufonisia to arrive at busy Milos with its many tourists. I still enjoyed it, but because of the crowds, not as much as the other two islands. There were beautiful beaches and beautiful rock formations, but I just didn’t find that the food measured up to the islands I had just come from. It felt like a place that catered to tourists more than it preserved the local culture, but there are some things like the cliffs of Kleftiko that made…

Discovering Paradise: The Best Koufonisia Beaches
If you’re looking for a Greek island with exquisite beaches that take your breath away, where the best way to spend a day is to languidly lie in the sun, and where the nights grow quiet with peaceful stillness, than Koufonisia is your place. When planning a trip to Greece, don’t miss the Greek islands, especially those of Koufonisia. The Koufonisia beaches are some of the most awe-inspiring I’ve ever seen, and this island of about 300 people still remains untouched, as renting sunbeds isn’t allowed and recreational boats and ships must stay offshore. Some people would be bored, but I’m the type that can spend hours hiking and staring…
