Hawaii Hikes: The Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail
If you’re looking for an easy hike in Hawaii with gorgeous views, then make sure to hike the Makapu’u Lighthouse trail (Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline). While, you won’t find seclusion on this trail, it’s still a hike that’s definitely worth doing. The lighthouse isn’t really the main reason to do this hike. You will only see it from a distance. The reason to do the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail is for the incredible vistas that you start seeing before you even reach the top. Also, the entire path is paved, so this makes it great for strollers or those who are in wheelchairs. The hike is only two miles round trip, so it’s…

But, it’s definitely a trail worth exploring. Silver Falls State Park is pretty special, as there are four waterfalls, you can even walk behind which gives you a unique view of a waterfall if this is something you’ve never done. Five of the waterfalls are more than 100 feet high! Also, there are many side trails at Silver Falls…

The first time I lived in Hawaii, I didn’t do much hiking. But, now being in nature and hiking has turned into one of my favorite things. So, I was grateful for a second chance to live there and check out some of the Hawaii hikes. All the Hawaii hikes I did were incredible, but by far, my favorite hike was the Kuliouou Ridge hike.
