/ The Best Cozumel Beach Clubs
Whether you’re staying on Cozumel or just visiting on a day trip from a cruise, going to one of the Cozumel beach clubs is one of the best ways to experience the beaches of Cozumel. Most of them only ask that you have a minimum consumption or some offer an all-inclusive experience with unlimited drinks and food for a set price. These were my favorite ones that I explored while there.
The Best Cozumel Beach Clubs
1. Buccanos Beach Club
Buccanos Beach Club was my absolute favorite. It was gorgeous. Water so clear that you didn’t even need a snorkel mask to see the fish, the best food and drinks that I had from any of the beach clubs, and a luxurious feel that the other beach clubs didn’t offer. They had some of the best fish tacos that I’ve ever had, and the hibiscus mezcal cocktail was fire! There is also a beautiful swimming pool, if you prefer that to the ocean.
2. Playa Azul
If you’re looking to snorkel, then Plaza Azul is the beach club in Cozumel for you. This is some of the best off beach snorkeling I’ve ever experienced, and is worth spending a day there to do it. The food and drinks weren’t as good as Buccanos, but the snorkeling made it worthwhile. There are more locals here than at some of the other beach clubs, so if you’re looking for a less touristy option, Playa Azul is also great for that.
3. Nachi Cocom
If you’re looking for one of the all inclusive Cozumel beach clubs, without the crowds, then check out Nachi Cocom. One price gives you a 4 course lunch and an open bar. They only allow 130 visitors daily, so make sure to make a reservation. The beach is beautiful, and you can also take a snorkeling excursion for an an extra price. The service here was also excellent. The pool has a swim up bar and a jacuzzi, and while the food and drinks weren’t absolutely amazing, it was still a good value for the day.
To Avoid:
Playa Palancar Beach Club
While I will say, the water is absolutely gorgeous at Playa Palancar, it was our least favorite of the Cozumel beach clubs. They didn’t have any beach chairs left when we arrived, and the food and drinks were absolutely horrible. We actually sent our fish tacos back because the fish looked like tuna fish you would get from a can. The ceviche was bland, and the mango margarita was made from such a sweet syrup that it was undrinkable. It felt very touristy, and the music was incredibly loud.
Don’t Miss:
The Trip To Isla Pasion with Catamaran Tours Grand Cozumel
While there is a beach club on Isla Pasion, I can’t imagine it would be a better experience than we had with Catamaran Tours Grand Cozumel. While it was supposed to be a group tour, no else else showed up the day we went, so we got to be the only ones on the boat. It was our favorite day in Cozumel. The crew of the boat were so lovely, and gave us such excellent service. The price for the boat tour included margaritas, rhum punch, and beer, snacks, and an amazing lunch. They took us to Isla Pasion, which is just stunning, where we enjoyed the beach for a few hours. The price is $80 per person for a five hour tour, and it was so enjoyable. I can’t recommend this enough!
