How To Boil An Egg In Thailand: My Visit To Sankampaeng Hot Springs
The Sankampaeng Hot Springs, about 36 kilometers from Chiang Mai, Thailand, are where the Thai families traditionally go to spend time together. They soak their feet while picnicking on snacks of quail, duck, and chicken eggs that they cook in pools of the boiling hot water that flows from the springs. So, when my tuk tuk driver, Auddy, asked if I wanted to go, I knew I couldn’t refuse. Besides, he had only mentioned these eggs to me about 5 times already, so I knew it was as much a treat for him as it would be for me. The drive there was spectacular with gorgeous views of rice fields and scenes…

Announcing My New Website: Eating The Globe- A New Travel Food Blog
Yes, I have started a new travel food blog called Eating The Globe. I have always said that menu’s are my maps. I tend to visit places for the food (and the beaches). So, I thought it was long overdue that I start bringing you my advice on the food in the areas that I visit. The Best Meal In San Miguel de Allende
I have lived in San Miguel de Allende for four months now and have spent most of my time eating my way through town. La Buena Vida Bakery La Buena Vida is my favorite bakery in San Miguel de Allende for many reasons ( the bread, the cinnamon rolls, the chocolate croissants, cookies) but my favorite thing by far are their doughnuts. They are absolutely perfect. My favorite one is the…

San Miguel de Allende Restaurants: 7 Cheap Eats
There are many wonderful San Miguel de Allende restaurants to choose from. Here are my recommendations for the cheap eats where the food is usually even better than what you will pay at some of the more expensive restaurants in town which cater to tourists. ¡Buen provecho! 1. La Valentina Antojitos- This place is right off of the Jardin and is super cheap. They have great posole, flautas and soups, usually between 35-60 pesos. ($3-$5). It’s one of my favorite places to eat when activities are going on in the Jardin, as you don’t have to walk very far to get something to eat. I also love that I’m usually…
