A Relaxing Stay At Villa Cao In Cagliari, Sardinia
Villa Cao is a haven of tranquility and rest if you are looking for a place to stay in Cagliari, Sardinia. I was given the family room during my stay and it was spacious and welcoming. The bed and breakfast, Villa Cao, has a beautiful setting and is set back from the road, so there is absolutely no traffic noise. I slept very well during my stay there. I also liked having my own private entrance to the room. It was clean and comfortable. You should know that the shower in this particular room is very small if having a large shower is important to you. The room has a…

Bed and Breakfast Bella Trapani: A Charming Place To Stay in Trapani, Sicily
Hospitality. Italians must have invented the word. Everywhere I go in Italy, I feel like people are aiming to please, to make sure that I am comfortable. The Bed and Breakfast Bella Trapani displays this Italian virtue and is a great place to stay during your visit to Trapani. When I arrived, Angelo, the host, had a bottle of wine in my room waiting for me. He gave many suggestions as to good restaurants and what to see on my visit. The thing that I most appreciated is that he met me at the bus station and walked me to the bed and breakfast so I wouldn’t get lost trying to…

A Beautiful Spring Road Trip Through The Hills Of Crete
I went to Crete just as the season was opening, so not a lot of tours had started yet. Buses weren’t yet running to most parts of the island. I really wanted to see more of Crete, so I emailed the people at Natour Lab to see if their tours had started yet. Their tours, too, hadn’t yet begun, but they still invited me out with them on a road trip through the Sfakia region of Crete. Natour Lab has an amazing concept. They combine gastronomy and hikes. Those are my two favorite things in life, so we were made for each other. Little did I know when I accepted their…

A Casa di Amici: A Friendly Hostel In Palermo
A Casa di Amici is a great choice for a hostel in Palermo. The owners stay on the property and were very friendly and helpful. They were always around to answer my questions about getting around Palermo and gave great advice about the places that I should visit while there. A Casa di Amici’s location was also very convenient in the Politeama area of the city. I loved that if I needed a break from sight-seeing the hotel was never very far away. They had a great common area to chill out and meet other guests. Santo makes drums and his drums were on display throughout the hostel. The architecture of…

Island Of Crete Beaches: Agii Apostoloi
I came to Crete without much of a plan in mind. The island of Crete is known for its beautiful beaches, and my only hope was to explore as many of them as I could. I came to Crete now, in March, because my frequent flier miles were going to expire, so it was now or never. What I didn’t research was that it would be barely sixty degrees, and none of the buses start running to the island of Crete beaches until May. In fact nothing really happens until May, not even the food tours. So, I’ve explored Chania town, where I’m staying, with its beach that is just…
