Pictures of Mirissa Beach, Sri Lanka
While I didn’t find Mirissa Beach to be the most beautiful beach I’ve ever visited, I did enjoy seeing the blue whales there. The early morning light made the other boats in the harbor look like paintings. Mirissa Beach is on the southern part of Sri Lanka, and I also enjoyed taking the train from Colombo to arrive there. At night, the restaurants grilled fresh fish right on the beach, and it made for a perfect setting to unwind and relax. One day, while walking to the beach, I almost tripped over a monitor lizard, and ,well, let’s just say it cured my fear of spiders and other bugs. Nothing has ever been scarier than seeing this “thing”. Not my favorite animal, that’s for sure! Leave me a comment and vote for your favorite picture!!

Oh yes, how I remember it * The light, the light is just so amazing there.
Thanks for sharing.
As tempting as the sunset photos were, my favorite was definitely the one of the coconut 🙂
I’m with Derek – I quite like the photo with the coconut. Great shots of the lizard too!
Lol…is that all it took to cure you of the fear of spiders and other bugs? I think that would cure me too, for life! I’m going to be different and vote for the colorful boats docked in front of the beautiful banana trees, I love that shot!
We’ve only stopped at Colombo’s airport for a couple of hours to change a flight, it looks like we missed out and we should have spent a little bit of time in this beautiful country.
I do love all of them but that coconut one is winning me over. Great pics!
Lovely photos, Valen!

I know, right? I don’t care to see one of those again!
