MiraMar: Stay In A Beach Casa In Yelapa, Mexico
If you’ve ever imagined having your own casa in Mexico that overlooks the beach, you can make that dream come true at MiraMar Yelapa. MiraMar is located in the fishing village of Yelapa, Mexico. It is made up of 5 houses that all have gorgeous views of the bay. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of ocean waves each night and lying in the hammock on my private patio while watching the moon rise each night.
I stayed in Casa Marietas 1, which had stunning views. It’s the perfect place to stay in Yelapa if you are traveling alone, or for a romantic getaway for a couple. One of the nice things about MiraMar is that the house you rent is fully screened. Most of the other rentals don’t have glass or screens on the windows, so you are completely open to the elements and mosquitoes. It was nice at MiraMar, not to have to worry as much about insects or wild animals getting in the room.
The bed at MiraMar was a pillowtop mattress and was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in my travels. I also loved the ocean view I had right from my bed. Your casa at MiraMar doesn’t include housekeeping, so it’s more vacation rental style than hotel style. The room was incredibly clean, comfortable, and I loved the bright colors that are the trademark of Mexico.
Another feature that I loved at MiraMar was the fully stocked kitchen. There was everything you could want to cook a meal including a blender, pots and pans, and wine glasses. I also appreciated the fact that MiraMar practiced recycling and had a separate bin for your items that needed recycling.
There is a full size dining room table for enjoying your meals. Though, you probably will find yourself enjoying them outside on your private patio or on the rooftop.
The wrap around patio was definitely my favorite part of the room, and it’s where I spent most of my time. Either that, or I was on the rooftop patio. The rooftop patio has the best views, and has satellite WiFi, where the WiFi in your room is pretty slow, since the satellite WiFi doesn’t reach there. But, trust me, you won’t find yourself wanting to be online much with the natural beauty that surrounds you at MiraMar.
Kendra and Fernando, the owners of MiraMar, really made it it a special place to stay. The level of hospitality and friendliness they showed me was incredible, and I loved the tips they provided me with on things to do in Yelapa and the best places to eat. They really do all they can to make sure you enjoy your time in Yelapa. I also highly recommend that you go with Fernando on his boat trip to The Marietas Islands. It was one of the highlights of my trip!
MiraMar is also in a great location, just steps from town and the restaurants. They have their own private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, just below the hotel, if you want to stay off the main beach with its many hawkers. But, if the main beach is what you like, it’s also not a far walk to that beach, either. If the sounds of ocean waves and stunning views are what you’re looking for on your trip to Yelapa, then MiraMar is the place to be.

I want to thank Kendra and Fernando for hosting me. As always, all opinions are my own, and I haven’t been influenced in any way.
Wonderful! I love the colors and the fabric in there! Amazing photos!
I absolutely love Casa Miramar. I lived in Vallarta for a few years so this was my little getaway spot. After reading your post I cannot wait to go back!!
