I loved the diversity of Costa Rica when I traveled there. In just two weeks I got to have so many different kinds of experiences and see so many different types of things. I got to relax on a deserted beach that was on the edge of a rainforest. Truly there was nothing like lying on the beach and having scarlet macaws fly over and monkeys playing in the trees behind me. 1. Be careful where you hang your sarong. Otherwise you just might find yourself chasing it down the beach flashlight in hand at 2 AM. 2. Study the hermit crabs. They are fascinating. Of course, the best time for this is 2am flashlight in hand. 3. You can always get more people on the boat than you think. Really. 4. When watching the sunset try to view what’s really happening. Ambergris Caye, Belize
The snorkeling off of the Belize Barrier Reef is the best snorkeling that I’ve ever done in my life. This may be because it is the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second longest in the world. I snorkeled with sharks, stingrays, turtles, and about a million fish!! I highly recommend taking one of the snorkeling trips that are offered.
