Why You Definitely Want To See The Marietas Islands With MiraMar Excursions
In the Bay of Banderas, just off the coast of Yelapa, Mexico is a preserved bird sanctuary with so many birds, you won’t believe it. The Marietas Islands is the only nesting ground besides the Galapagos Islands where you will find the blue-footed booby. This is also where you will find, “The Hidden Beach” (which isn’t so hidden, as it’s visited daily by hundreds of tourists.) When I entered the jungle grounds of Vereda, in Yelapa, Mexico, I felt my entire body relax. After the busy madness of Puerto Vallarta, arriving at Vereda seemed like something out of a dream. Set in the jungle part of Yelapa, I walked down the magical vined walkway to a Paradise full of butterflies, iguanas, and beautiful jungle birds. For my first few nights, I stayed in the Palapa Primavera, a gorgeous palapa cabin that brought so much nature inside the cabin.
