Ambon, Maluku,The Capital Of The Spice Islands-Not To Be Missed Photos
Ambon, Maluku is the capital of the spice islands. It is a pretty island, and the main area of town can have pretty views that overlook the bay. It is also a bustling city, and in no way is the air perfumed with spices like I thought it would be. (Think rotting durian fruit, fried foods, and gasoline fumes). It is, however, perfumed with a rich culture that I enjoyed visiting. They weren’t used to tourists here, and I found that I spent most of my time posing for pictures. Pictures From Kai Island
Kai Island (also known as the Kei Islands) is part of the spice islands of Indonesia, and includes some of the prettiest beaches that I’ve ever seen. When you think untouched, tropical paradise, this is it! Pasir Panjang Beach on Kei Kecil is one of the top beaches in the world. While staying at Coaster Cottages, I saw some of the prettiest sunsets of my life. You may also enjoy my review of Coaster Cottages!

Most of these pictures were taken from my beautiful bungalow on a hilltop at the Bedulu Resort. …

Today was the day that made all the uncomfortable days, all the hunger, cold showers, unpleasant smells, malaria laden mosquito bites, and lack of sleep worth getting to Raja Ampat. Today I saw and swam with what I think has to be one of the most impressive creatures on this earth. Manta Rays. I’ve never seen one before today. Setting out, I thought that they would be about the same size as stingrays. I had no idea that they would be about the size of a small airplane. That realization hit me when we arrived at the spot where they…

Pictures From Gili Air
Gili Air was my favorite of the three Gili Islands. It was by far the most lush with its cows and agriculture. It also had quaint beach bars and areas that just encouraged you to just sit and chill and let your worries fade away. I can’t wait to go back to Gili Air and spend more time there.
